Letter to the children from Mrs Wright

24 March 2020 (by admin)

Dear Children,

I hope you are all well and able to enjoy this lovely sunshine. Although all the work that the teachers have sent you is important, I think there will be lots of time for that when the weather gets rainy. For now, make sure that you are outside in your gardens playing in the warm spring sunshine and have some time to enjoy God’s wonderful creation! That’s permission from Mrs Wright! Get off those computers and electronic games and go outside.

We are certainly all missing you at school, but I know that it is important for you to stay safe.

I have attached a message form Louise Rees for you to read. She is the lady who is in charge of looking after all the schools and services for children in Solihull. She has a big job! She has been helping me and all the other headteachers to sort everything out. She has been sending me lots of emails and instructions – I have been very busy!

One thing I want you to remember is to pray every day with your family. We can still do that and it is so important to remember that God Our Father loves us very much. Mass is being said nearly every day at St George and St Teresa Church and we can watch it from home via the webcam. Get the grownups at home to help you to see this and to join in with the Mass. We are hoping to share Mass at 10am tomorrow.

Also, here is a link for the grownups to help you find some prayers and stories as we continue to move through Lent. The grownups can sign up for free.

Now children, I do not want any of you to feel worried or anxious about what is going on at the moment. I have attached a sheet explaining all about the Coronavirus to help you to understand it all a little bit better. Remember what I said to you all last week? The best way that you can help is to do what the grownups at home ask you and to be superstars for them, just like you are for all the teachers at school.

I will write to you all again soon, love from Mrs Wright
